Adigo Participates in the Wild Animal Sanctuary’s Into the Wild Running Festival

Ever feel like going for a walk on the wild side? How about a run?

What if you could get up close to large wild animals, have fun, support a great cause, and not get mauled in the process?

Well that’s exactly what members of Adigo did recently at the Wild Animal Sanctuary’s 2nd annual “Into the Wild Running Festival.”

This year over 1,800 (mostly) humans participated by walking, running or biking their way on graded prairie roads that wind through the Sanctuary’s property. Proceeds from this event directly benefit America’s premier sanctuary for large carnivores.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary located just 30 miles northeast of Denver in Kennesburg, Co. is the nation’s oldest and largest refuge for rescued and rehabilitated large carnivores. It spans over 700 acres and is home to over 350 residents, including wolves, black bears, tigers, African lions…Oh My! The Sanctuary provides rescue and life-long homes to large exotics and endangered captive animals and education to the American public regarding the captive wildlife crisis.

The Sanctuary is the recipient of our 2014 non-profit of the year providing free conferencing to this deserving cause.  Adigo is very honored to be working with them.

Adigo strives to promote company-wide community service and social responsibility, and we are very grateful to be able to participate, with our families, in this fun and worthwhile event. In fact, it made quite an impression on one member of our team. Here’s what Peggy had to say of the experience:

“The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a true treasure, and close to home!  It is so rewarding to be able to contribute to these beautiful animals care and help enable them to live in a natural habitat.  The walk raised awareness of this cause to many, we heard many people saying they would be going back.  My kids  have all expressed a desire to visit on a regular basis.  Thank you for this wonderful experience. “
